Psoriasis Genetics Study at the University of Michigan

Our laboratory is engaged in research on genetic predisposition to psoriasis, a skin
disease that affects about 2% of the population. The laboratory has been collecting DNA
samples and disease data from psoriasis patients and normal controls for over two
decades, and has one of the largest collections of biological samples related to psoriasis
genetics research in the world. We have been involved in research leading to
identification of most of the over forty genetic susceptibility loci for psoriasis.
